Obtaining a head-shot for pageants, acting or modeling is not as simple as it sounds. In considering a photographer, ask whether this is the photographer’s specialty or is he a portrait photographer. There is a difference in photographic specialties just like with physicians, they are specialists in their particular expertise.

Makeup and hair also should be considered. Will you be able to change your hair style during the sitting? How much time will you be given to do this?. Also a good make up artist and hairdresser would assure a successful photo session.  Inquire as to how many shots will be taken and how many times will you be allowed to change clothes. How about accessories for your wardrobe?  If you forget something, will there be anything to choose from supplied by the photographer?
